About the Retail Awards in Leeds

The number one reason for visiting Leeds according to government statistics is for shopping, which is unsurprising considering the hugely varied retail experience the city has to offer visitors as well as proud residents.

Established in 2005, the annual Leeds Retail Therapy Awards is a celebration of our indigenous retail culture which attracts close to 1m visitors each year. The fifth annual awards took place in October 2009, with record 10,000 votes cast in the two months since voting commenced.
